Welcome to Texas Truth Homeschool Athletics.
ABOUT US
OUR MISSION
We’re a competitive Homeschool Basketball Program that strives for excellence in character, service, skill development, and teamwork. We view the game of basketball as a teaching tool that mirrors life with ups and downs, wins and losses, agony and triumph. We strive to instill the principles of the golden rule, resiliency, hard work, and determination. We love the journey of getting better each day and growing our relationships through the vehicle of the game of basketball. We strive to live by Christian principles and to glorify God in all we do. Life is short; we prioritize God, Family, and Texas.
OUR THEME
Proverbs 23:23 “Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Also wisdom and instruction and understanding.”
OUR COMMITMENT TO CHRISTIAN CHARACTER
Priority [Matthew 22:37-39] Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
Focus [Hebrews 12:2] Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Golden Rule [Matthew 7:12] Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Love [1 John 3:18] My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
Dedication [Colossians 3:23] And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men;
Work Ethic [Ecclesiastes 9:10] Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there isno work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.
Servitude [Galatians 5:13] For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
Mindset [Philippians 4:13] I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Endurance [James 1:2-4] My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have itsperfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
Humility [James 4:10] Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
Kindness [Ephesians 4:32] And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Producing the Fruits of the Spirit [Galatians 5:22-23] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
